Journal Entry – 1/27/10: WE READY...
This weekend marks the final week of Mini Camp. I have narrowed the roster down to 20 players, leaving five positions open. Filling these last five positions is the hard part. As the coach, I will always be open and honest with the players, never stringing anyone along. This season, the player selection process has been difficult for me. I have some really young players that need to mature more to be consistent pro football players. These guys should realize this is a skilled craft, not just a weekend hobby. This years’ team focus is solely winning the championship through blue collar work ethics. Hard work plus dedication will lead to excellence through teamwork… the perfect equation for victory.
Journal Entry - 1/4/10: I LIKE WHERE WE ARE...
This season, a lot has changed personnel and philosophy wise. Our team has assembled some of the best talent in the area. However, we had no foundation to build from. We still have a tremendous amount of work to do. We are showing signs of improvement in MANY areas. IMPROVEMENT is the first step in building a strong foundation.
