Texas Maverick Open Try-out (San Antonio, TX)San Antonio, TX. (October 11, 2009)-- Sunday, Coach Manos and the Pirates coaching staff travel to San Antonio with other IIFA coaches to scout the local talent. The combine was hosted by the Texas Mavericks. First of all we would like to say thank you to all of the coaches and administrative staff for the hospitality. The turn out was good and the talent was fair but we saw a couple of diamonds in the rough (Brian Robinson and Jerry Clouse) stood out of the crowd be cause they listen to what was said and quickly made the necessary adjustments. Talent comes a dime ...a dozen in Texas but, character is just as important on the football field.
